Maureen Bruno Roy 's Race Reports
    GRAN PRIX of GLOUCESTER
    October 13-14, 2007
Race weekend #2 was one of the fastest courses around!  The course was completely dry and fast with one small run up and very little room for error.  My legs were feeling a bit flat on the first day of racing and it was important to be with a group to avoid the wind and take advantage of drafting off the other riders.  I worked hard to stay with other riders but ended up spending most of day one out in the wind getting worked over.  I finished a disappointed 10thas a few riders in a group were able to catch up with me in the last lap.
The second day proved much better as I sat in with a group for the day.  We worked the course as a steady pace with the top 3 riders getting away from us.  In the end, I was 6th up the hill at the finish.  Not my best weekend, but feeling much more like myself after being sick and not training or resting the way I should have been.
Thanks for reading.
